Waiting List

There is usually a waitlist to get into the club. If you're interested in joining, please see the contact page for information on how to reach our vice president.
Once your information has been recieved our vice president will return your call to confirm that you are on the list, and give some estimate of how long the wait is.

Fees

Effective 2008/2009 Season:
Please note that for the 2007/2008 season, UBC Masters fees will be $575 for 12 months, payable as:

  • One lump sum of $575 in September 2008, OR
  • Two installments of $300 in September 2008 and $275 in February 2009 (post-dated).

These fees cover coaching staff, pool rental and a few miscellaneous costs of running the club. The Fall fees are more than the Winter fees since they include an annual fee that is paid to BC Masters Association and the Canadian Amateur Swimming Association. These fees provide us with an insurance policy and a registration number so we can compete in Masters Swim Meets, and are included in newsletters.

All fees are nonrefundable.

Renewal

Current members wishing to renew can use the renewal form found under the links below.
Remember we usually have people on a waiting list to get into the club, so pay on time and help make the registrar's job easier.

2010-2011 Returning Members Registration Form (PDF)

MSABC Application and Waiver Form

Please note, these forms are only for returning members, if you are a new member you will be contacted by phone when your name gets to the top of the waiting list.

DO NOT BRING THE COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORM AND PAYMENT TO THE POOL!!!
The coaches WILL NOT be accepting registration forms on deck at practice.

Forms will be updated as required.

Leave of Absence

We do allow you to take a one year leave of absence if you will be away for an extended period.
The registrar must be informed before you take your leave.
However, be aware that this does not guarantee you a spot back on the club when you return.
A leave of absence puts you at the top of the waiting list. You will get the next available spot upon your return.

  • Leaves can only be taken between September to February, or from March to August. A member is allowed to take one or both periods off, but not longer.
  • As time nears for end of the member’s requested leave, an email will be sent to ask if they will be returning. After 12 months of leave, unless they return, they will forfeit their place in the club.
